A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser, so that it can recognise the browser on the next request. Buxhet uses cookies only where the app cannot work without them.

Buxhet sets two cookies. Both come from buxhet.app itself.

• buxhet_session

  Keeps you signed in. Set when you sign in, removed when you sign out.

  Strictly necessary · Lasts 30 days

• buxhet_theme

  Remembers whether you chose the light or the dark theme. Set only when you use the theme switch.

  Preference you set · Lasts 1 year

The session cookie holds a random token and nothing else. It cannot be read by scripts on the page and is only sent over an encrypted connection.

• No analytics cookies.
• No advertising or tracking cookies.
• No cookies from other companies.

This is why you see no cookie banner. The law asks for consent before cookies that are not needed for the service you asked for; Buxhet sets none. If that ever changes, we will ask first and update this page.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Without the session cookie you cannot stay signed in; without the theme cookie Buxhet opens in the light theme. Signing out removes the session cookie.
